Dietary habits of Croatian consumers

Podravka representatives from Croatia and marketing market categories are familiar with the research on dietary habits of Croatian consumers. In early September Podravkinoj cinema research agency GFK has presented her research are conducted on 1000 respondents aged over 15 years.
Consumers are under investigation are divided into four groups based on lifestyles. Most of the "traditionalists", followed by those with "fast-paced life" (constituting two thirds), followed by "disinterested" and finally "challenging" and it is interesting to analyze which of the groups that consumed categories of Podravka products in accordance with this bidding and direct promotional activities.
According to the survey, about 50 percent of people consume three meals a day, about 25 percent have only two meals a day, yet 15 percent have up to four meals, and about six percent have up to five meals a day.
Almost one fifth of respondents do not even breakfast, hot dinner every day consumes 28 percent (37% at weekends), a cold 35 percent of respondents.
About 40 percent of the family always ate meals together and another 38 percent usually eat together.

For the preparation of foods are frequently consumed sunflower oil (84%) and olive oil (51%) and fat of animal origin (41%), butter (31%) and margarine (26%).
White bread / rolls is one of the daily food for more than 50 percent, black and dark bread combinations are found in about 30 percent, and pumpernickel bread with only 19 percent.

Frequent and daily consumption of coffee (80%), milk (54%), plain yogurt (33%), cheese (30%).

As for weight, 50 percent is on par with normal weight, and only five percent is very thin. When determining the categories truly obese people, an equal share of both sexes (by about 15%). Desire to change their weight does not show half of those surveyed. Nearly 40 percent want to lose in the range of 1:00 to 10:00 pounds and about six percent would like to lose 10 or more pounds. Women often want to lose weight while men are more satisfied with their weight.
